Welsh Fitness Classic – Judging Criteria – 2021

 

Men’s Classic Bodybuilding & Masters Classic Bodybuilding (35+)

Prejudging

Round 1 (Scored)

  • Athletes called to stage in 1 group.
  • Each athlete in numerical order called to centre stage
  • Athletes will be asked to perform ¼ turns in relaxed pose
  • Athletes will then be asked to perform ¼ turns –  Mandatory Poses to include:
    • Front Double Biceps
    • Abdominals & Quads
    • Back Double Biceps & Hamstrings
    • Side Triceps & Side Chest
  • Once poses complete – Athletes will return to the line-up

 Round 2 (Scored) 

  • Judges will call 3 Athletes at a time to centre stage.
  • Judges will ask Athletes to perform ¼ turns in relaxed poses
  • Judges will then compare mandatory poses
  • Once completed, judges will ask athletes to return to the line-up

Afternoon Show:

 Round 3 (Scored)

  • Athletes will perform 30 second posing routine to music of their choice:
  • No set mandatory poses required; athletes can perform any poses that best suits their physique

Top 5 Announced:

Round 4 (Not Scored)

Pose Down – Athletes will be given 60 seconds to display their best poses against fellow competitors – This part of the show will not be scored.

Final Placings Announced:

The winner of the of the Men’s Classic Bodybuilding & Men’s Classic Bodybuilding Masters (35+) will advance to the overall Men’s championships

Men’s Physique & Masters Physique (35+)

Prejudging  

Round 1 (Scored)

  • Athletes called to stage in 1 group.
  • Each individual athlete in numerical order performs I-Walk to centre stage to begin mandatory poses
  • Each athlete performs mandatory poses through ¼ right turns. Mandatory poses to include:
    • Front Pose
    • Side Pose (Athletes Choice)
    • Back Pose – Arms to Side and flared outwards slightly
    • Side Pose (Athletes Choice)
    • Front Pose

Round 2 (Scored)

  • Judges will call 3 Athletes at a time to centre stage.
  • Judges will ask Athletes to perform ¼ turns in mandatory poses
  • Once completed, judges will ask athletes to return to the line-up

Afternoon Show:

Round 3  (Scored)

  • Athletes called to stage in 1 group
  • Athletes will perform I-Walk to stage music.
  • Athletes will rotate through favourite mandatory poses
  • Athletes will be required to perform the I-Walk twice in round 3
  • At the end of each cycle the athlete will return to the line-up to await their call.

Top 5 Announced:

Ladies Bikini & Ladies Bikini Masters (35+)

Prejudging

 Round 1 (Scored)

  • Athletes called to stage in 1 group
  • Each individual athlete in numerical order performs I-Walk to centre stage to begin mandatory poses
  • Each athlete performs mandatory poses through ¼ right turns. Mandatory poses to include:
    • Front Pose – Legs Shoulder width apart – Head up – Shoulders back – Arms to side (outstretched and raised above waist height)
    • Left Side Pose – Right Leg Straight – Right Arm to side (outstretched and raised above waist height). Left leg back and bent at the knee slightly. Left arm on waist. Upper body turned to the judges slightly.
    • Rear Pose – Legs Shoulder width apart – Head up – Shoulders back – Arms to side (outstretched and raised above waist height)
    • Right Side Pose – Left Leg Straight – Left Arm to side (outstretched and raised above waist height). Right leg back and bent at the knee slightly. Right arm on waist. Upper body turned to the judges slightly. 
  • Once each athlete has performed mandatory poses, they must return to the line-up

  • Athletes called out of line-up in groups of 3
  • Judges will then compare athletes’ mandatory poses

Round 3  (Scored)

  • Athletes called to stage in 1 group
  • Athletes will perform I-Walk to stage music.
  • Athletes will rotate through favourite mandatory poses
